Oaklands School

This school is for pupils who have learning difficulties. There are nursery, primary and secondary departments.

It is a new building, and was the first school in Edinburgh to be constructed under the ‘Prudential Framework’ scheme, involving the private sector. This is a Public Private Partnership (PPP) arrangement.

It is located on the Craigroyston Learning Campus, along with Craigroyston Primary School (and previously Craigroyston Community High School). The school moved into the new building in 2007 – the official opening was on 22 June.

The site of the previous school building, in Broomhouse Crescent, was sold , to be used for housing.
